Necrodeath are an Italian thrash metal band, formed in 1984 in Genoa named Ghostrider, by and idea of Guitarist Claudio and Drummer Peso.
One of the first thrash originated in Italy, along with others as Bulldozer and Schizo. Their music is a mix between a violent thrash metal and a typical black metal vocal style, accompanied by purely anti-Christian lyrics. According to their statements, Necrodeath have had some influence on several groups of extreme metal like Cradle of Filth, Mayhem, Immortal, At the Gates, Brutal Truth and Marduk. The band's music is inspired by the sound of Slayer, Possessed, Kreator, Celtic Frost and Bathory, among the others.

Necrodeath formed February 5, 1984 in Genoa, named Ghostrider.
The two decided to give birth to their own group after the Italian leg of the tour of Venom which Peso and Claudio attended.
Since the first apparitions, the components were known by the pseudonyms Ingo Veleno (vocals), Mark Peso (drums), Fuckin 'Clod (guitar) and Peter Volcano (bass). In 1985 the group name was officially changed to Necrodeath.
Thus was recorded in the same year, The Shining Pentagram demo.
In 1987 they released their debut album, titled "Into the Macabre", a totally violent and sick thrash/black metal album inspired by Slayer, Bathory, Dark Angel and Kreator.
Gained a good reputation, in 1989 the band released the second chapter record, called "Fragments of Insanity". Necrodeath career came to a halt in the bud and the unprofessional behavior of their label pushed the band to break up suddenly in the early nineties.
Each component dedicated to new projects should be noted that Peso founded in 1991, with guitarist Tommy Talamanca, the death metal band Sadist (inspired by the name of an old song Necrodeath, "Necrosadist"),
one of the most important death metal band Italians who also had occasion to play with Carcass in 1995.
After about eight years of inactivity, in 1998 Necrodeath reformed with a new line up: Claudio Phlegyas(vocalist from opera IX) , John ( Bass) and the founding members
Peso and Claudio.
The come back album was called "Mater of All Evil", released in 1999. With the Same Line-up, the band then recorded "Black As Pitch" (2001)
and "Ton(e)s of Hate" (2003). "100% Hell" (2006) was instead composed with guitarist Andy, replacing Claudio, who left the band for family reasons.
The album also sees Cronos of Venom as a special guest,
who was introduced to the band by the journalist Luca Bosio, a friend of Peso.
Necrodeath are currently under the Scarlet Records label and are distributed internationally by SPV and Audioglobe.
With these firms, in October 2007 the group released a new album, entitled Draculea, a concept album dedicated to Count Vlad Tepes.
The album sees participation as a guitarist Pier Gonella,
a member of Labyrinth and Athlantis, replacing Andy. The latest, recent news has been proclaimed by the same Necrodeath July 18, 2008 after their concert at the Metal on Earth: John, after 10 years of employment with the group, decided to leave the band, while Peter becomes a permanent member after participation in Draculea.
In September 2008 joined the band as bassist GL member of Enough to Kill You and Rage Against you. Necrodeath In May 2009 released a new album, entitled "Phylogenesis"
a concept album about human origins, also for under the label Scarlet Records. On 5 February 2010 Necrodeath celebrate 25 years of activity,
releasing a cover album, entitled Old Skull. The album collects tracks by bands that have inspired Necrodeath since the beginning of their careers
(Venom, Slayer, Black Sabbath ...) Also there is the participation of members of the Bulldozer, Necrodeath Schizo and former members.
